As per Matt's request, I have created a table of contents on this main page and instead of everyone pasting their postings onto one big page, we are going to spread them out to make navigation through the pages easier. Doing this takes a LITTLE extra work, but really not much. So, again, at Matt's request, here are the directions of how to post your work to make it fit on the table of contents.

NOTE: Before you follow the steps below, make sure there is not already a link on the table of contents for the story you wrote about. If there is, you can simply edit the page that appears when you click the link. If there isn't a link for the story you wrote about, THEN follow the steps below... Creating a new page for a story that already has a page will delete the work that someone did for that story already... and we all know how angry our classmates get when we accidentally delete their work!!!)

Creating and Linking New Pages

1. Click "New Page" in the navigation bar
2. Put the name of your story as the page title (Story names can be found at the Mules and Men Index)
3. When the new page is created, paste your posting with the picture AND A LINK BACK TO THE STORY FROM THE INDEX PAGE [see below for instructions on how to do that]!) and press save.
4. When you press save, you will not see your page in the side bar. To get your work linked and viewable, return back to the "Illustrate Mules and Men" Page)
5. Find and highlight your story from the Table of Contents list and Press the "Insert Link" button on the editing toolbar.
6. A box will appear. If you highlighted your text, wikispaces should recognize that there is a page with the same name and automatically link there. Press "add link" save the page and you're done!
7. If it does not recognize your highlighting, simply type the story name again into the "Link Text" box and select the page you created for your story in the drop down menu. Select "add link" and save the page and you're done!
8. Return to the "Illustrate Mules and Men" page to double check the link to your story takes you back to your work and/or the page you created
9. Success!
10. If you want to place a picture in a CHAPTER (Where Zora is narrating) instead of a story, follow the same lines, except just create a chapter page and link it back to the chapter, instead of a story.

To include a link to the story on your posting from the Index page

1. Find the link to your story in the index and click on it. It will give you a link that looks something like: http://xroads.virginia.edu/~MA01/Grand-Jean/Hurston/Chapters/Chapter2.html#women.
2. Copy this link to your clipboard.
3. On the bottom of your posting, click "Add link" again, and instead of a Wiki Link, you're going to want to do an External Link.
4. Type your story name in to the Link Text box, and paste the web address into the Address box. (You can click New Window if you don't want it to close the Wikispaces page when clicking the link)
5. Success!

My posting, "Why Women Always Take Advantage of Men" is already completed following these steps, and can be viewed on Chapter 2 of the table of contents for a reference.
